Digital History Projects: Lessons learned
Origins :: This presentation resulted from a conversation I had with Janice Barnes, our local history-genealogy specialist at the Madison-Jefferson County Public Library, on the lessons we learned from the digital projects we worked on together. She later joined me to give the presentation which was wonderful.
Presentation history :: Digital History Projects: Lessons Learned was first presented at the 2008 Indiana Library Federation Reference Division Conference that focused on local and genealogical reference.
A version catered to the technology side of the projects was given at the Fall 2008 Indiana Online Users Group Meeting. The new Omeka digital repository software package we will be using in 2009 was also discussed.
This posted version was presented at the 2009 Indiana Library Federation District 6 Conference on 3 April 2009 by Janice Barnes and myself.
Images :: The wonderful images for the presentation came from our library’s wonderful River to Rail digital history project.
